Hello to you all. I am happy to report we had a great work team with us in Arizona on the Gila River reservation working on the Siloam church. We got a lot of work done, but most of all we made some good relationships with some of the church people who come in to work with us, and some who brought in great food. It was a joy for me to have the team from Ohio come and meet some of my dear friends at the church and to experience their hospitality. They brought in delicious food, which we enjoyed so much. I especially love red chili stew and fry bread. We were able to put in a new floor, base around the new floor, new doors on the two bathrooms, and two new vanities. We also was able to put in 13 new lights in the sanctuary. You can see in the pictures below the united effort between the church and the team. We had a few challenges along the way, such as two vans that decided to act up, or shut down might be a better word, but the Lord helped us through that as well. Thanks to the church people who stopped in to help and the team who took vacation and paid their own expenses to come and work. It was a great week. Busy, but great! I hope you enjoy the pictures. If you would like to contribute to the ministry, you can do so securely through the website. We had some extra expenses for this project, so we do appreciate the people who have been supporting Beautiful Hands Ministries. In His service, Tom Just in case you didn't want to cook and you wanted to help a good cause tonight! We'd love to see you.
I remember my first experience with a decorated saguaro cactus and the beauty of the lights on them. I thought you might like to see how they looked.
I have been blessed to hear the Christmas story all my life but it wasn’t until I accepted the Christ Child that the story gave me hope. My wish for all who read this is to see the real reason we celebrate. Merry Christmas! You are loved. Tom and Pam Greetings to you today!
I first want to thank all who liked Beautiful Hands Ministries on Facebook. My prayer and hope is for the website and the Facebook site to be a helpful and encouraging few moments in your life. I felt God's leading to establish a non-profit corporation several years ago, but I didn't know what to name it. You can see the rest of that story on the website. When I gave my heart to Christ 52 years ago, I knew I must follow God's direction and commit to making ministry my focus. This first book is to help people hear through the examples of life how God wants to work with people of all situations to show His love. I suggested In Sickness and in Health: a Love Story for a stocking stuffer because it touches lives in many common challenges. The title would suggest it is only about a husband and wife committed to each other, whatever comes, but there is another unmistakable fact. The love of God that is the core of their hope is also the basis for the "Love Story". I love because He is love. Many celebrate this most blessed time of the year in only the materialistic sense, with giving and getting gifts as the basis for the reason for the season. I prefer the Biblical approach to the season since I have dreams of what I want to see each day, but no vision of assurance without the hope that comes from the Creator Himself. My hope, love, and future are in the love of God. The "Love Story" is also how the love of God brought us through the tough times. It is about how we can learn to trust God in difficult times. I have discovered that I like to tell stories to illustrate a point. I know from experience that pain is pain. I have experienced physical pain and emotional pain, and no matter which one it is, it still hurts. So if I can tell a story that can paint a picture that helps someone handle pain a little better, maybe it will be a blessing to them. A friend told me last night that she had just finished reading my book, and she felt every couple planning to be married should read it because of the commitment represented in the story. Interestingly enough, "in sickness and in health" is a part of the wedding vows agreed to in most wedding ceremonies. As I conclude for this time, remember, God is good all the time and He loves you! Happy reading! Tom

Tom Amlin IN SICKNESS AND IN HEALTH: A LOVE STORY IS AN INSPIRATIONAL STORY YOU HAVE TO READ! God uses you to touch lives even when you see the impossible! Tom Amlin was born and raised in Ohio, living on a farm until he graduated from high school and attended Urbana University. His ambition was to become a basketball coach and math teacher. That changed after visiting Circleville Bible College, now known as Ohio Christian University, where he later received his degree in ministry and counseling. His visit there was to be a fun weekend with friends, but while there, God brought conviction on his life. Tom committed his life to Christ that weekend and met Jackie Small who would become his bride just 14 months later. I am very thankful and pleased to present this video of Phase I from the Siloam Church building project on the Gila River Reservation. With God’s blessings, people who came to work from the church, work teams, volunteers, and missionaries, we were able to have our re-dedication and celebration on November 12, 2017. God is blessing the work at Siloam and we plan to share more with you in coming weeks. We have started the architectural work on Phase II and will be posting a sketch in coming weeks. Please pray for the work of the church and preparation for the next big step. In His service, Tom
