Today's Moment of Humor
As the storm raged, the captain realized his ship was sinking fast. He called out,”Anyone here know how to pray?” One man stepped forward, “Aye, Captain, I know how to pray.” “Good,” said the captain,”you pray while the rest of us put on our life jackets...we’re one short.”
Mom asked the barber when would be the best time to bring in my 2-year-old son for a haircut.
Without hesitation, the barber said, "When he's 4."
Grandma asked: "Were you a good little girl at church this morning?"
Missy responded: "Yes I was. When the nice man offered me a whole plate of money, I said 'no thank you.'"

A Moment of Praise! Psalm 13
God is good, all the time. All the time, God is good. We have heard that said many times and maybe you have been one of the voices to say it. I have. How many people say that and yet don’t really mean it or they may be unsure of it. This Psalm has been one of my favorites for a long time. Give God the opportunity to show you what He wants you to see through His words. I share this in the book, In Sickness and in Health: A Love Story for a reason. I hope it speaks to your heart.
Have You Ever Wondered if You're Making a Difference?
Dear Jackie,
I don't know that I can write enough encouraging words to you to express how you have touched my life and the lives of so many others here. You graciously opened your heart, bared your soul and your thoughts and fears. You as a person, friend and fellow missionary for Christ will resonate with me in my thoughts, prayers, and memories until and throughout eternity. May you know in your heart of hearts that you are important, you have a purpose, and you touch many lives in ways many cannot. When you are lonely, know that someone you have touched is thinking of you, praying for you and wishing you extra strength from your/our heavenly Father. I love you! Cat |
A Moment of Praise
One of Tom's favorite Bible verse:
Isaiah 41:10
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
King James translation

A Moment of Praise
Greetings to you all.
I want to thank the Lord for His many blessings. He knows me better than anyone and yet He loves me. His grace and mercy are endless. His promises are everlasting and His power is unmatched. His love is sweeter than honey and He cares about the small things in life as much as He does the big things in life. There isn't anything He doesn't know and He is never surprised. He is everywhere and yet He lives in me. He leads me but doesn't push me. He talks to me with such love that He soothes my sensitive feelings. I trust Him because He has been where He wants me to go, He is where I am now, He is what He wants me to be, and He is with me in the journey to get there! I am His and He is mine. It is said, “The man who walks with God, gets to his destination". I want to change one letter in one word and say, "The man who walks with God, gets to “His” destination". I encourage you to pray in His Spirit and to be blessed by His abundant presence.
In His service,
Tom Amlin
